The PPM Program for Military Moving

Formerly called the DITY Program, the Personally Procured Move Program (PPM) is designed specifically for your military storage and moving needs. It allows any service member that is authorized to ship their household belongings at government expense to arrange for their own transportation. Since the government allots a predetermined amount for your military move, we’ve created military moving and military storage solutions that are designed to fit your budget. We offer economical military storage solutions, so you don’t have to worry about the costs!

With a little bit of planning, you can ensure your military moving costs fall well below the predetermined government rate for your relocation.

Military Storage

When you’re going to be stationed overseas, you don’t need the hassle of traditional storage, which requires you to pack your things into a truck or your car and then unpack them at the storage facility only to have to reorganize them in your container again. SMARTBOX makes military storage simple. All you have to do is give us a call—we’ll bring a portable storage container to you, and you call fill it up at your leisure. Then when you’re ready to be transferred, all you have to do is pick up the phone and we’ll come get your belongings and store them in our secure, temperature controlled facility until you return.

SMARTBOX Portable Storage Containers

Our portable storage containers are perfectly sized for you military storage and moving needs. They are eight feet deep by seven feet tall by five feet wide and can hold up to 3,500 pounds—nearly 2 tons! Each container can hold approximately one to one and a half rooms of furniture and are they’re big enough to hold a king size mattress and box spring. Our storage containers are made of a durable wood so that the contents can breathe. They all have weather resistant covers, too, to protect your belongings from the elements all year round. Our SMARTBOX storage containers sit only six inches off the ground for easy and safe packing and unpacking.
